Boat manufacturing techniques and designs are always changing. the new, faster and lighter carbon fiber hulls are in the forefront, much like the racing class yachts in our antigua race week, and this is the direction we’ve gone. the talisker whisky atlantic challenge 2015 will have 2 main classes: pure class. adkin pairs/solo design. The 2019 talisker whisky atlantic challenge started on the 12th of december 2019 in san sebastian, la gomera, with 35 boats in the water. wild spirits on an epic voyage across the atlantic. the 2019 fleet is the biggest one yet, with a total of 103 rowers from 12 different countries – including south africa!. In january 2018, a good friend told me about a transatlantic rowing race.the idea that there are people who are able to do this, is something that fascinates and intrigues me. my objective to join a rowing club, so i would come to realize that this is crazy, was not my best plan of action. discovering the sport of rowing only motivated me more and had an opposite effect on setting aside the.
